Terms of service.
What a quote commits us to, what it does not, and how a claim is handled if something goes wrong in transit.
What these terms cover
They apply to your use of this site, to the quotations we issue, and to any shipment we arrange for you. Where a quotation, a booking confirmation or a transport document states something different, that document governs for that shipment — this page is the default, not the whole agreement.
Quotations
A quotation is an offer to arrange carriage on the terms stated in it. Unless it says otherwise it is valid for seven days from issue, because airline surcharges and fuel indices are reset weekly and road rates move with the trailer fill.
Quotations are built from the information you provide. Duty is computed from the HS code we agree with you and the value declared on the commercial invoice; if the classification changes at entry, the quotation is reissued before the shipment moves. Weights and dimensions are taken as declared — where a carrier re-weighs a consignment and the chargeable weight differs materially, the difference is passed through at cost with the carrier’s record attached.
Excluded from every quotation unless it says otherwise: storage beyond the free days, customs examination fees, remote-area or timed-delivery surcharges, product compliance work such as CE marking or packaging registration, and cargo insurance.
Booking and cancellation
A booking is confirmed when we issue a booking confirmation, not when a request is sent. Cut-off times are stated per service. If you cancel after the cut-off, or if the cargo is not ready for collection, the carrier and consolidation costs already incurred are chargeable — we pass on what we are charged and do not add a cancellation fee of our own.
Our role
We arrange carriage and related services as a freight coordinator. Where we file the import entry, we do so as importer of record for customs purposes only: that does not make us the owner of the goods, and it does not transfer any product liability or regulatory obligation that belongs to the seller or the buyer.
Nothing on this site is legal, customs or tax advice. Classification, valuation and VAT treatment are determined by the customs authority of the member state of entry, and the shipment documents record what was actually declared.
Liability
Where goods are lost or damaged in transit, our liability is limited to the amount recoverable under the convention that governs the leg concerned — the CMR Convention for road carriage and the Montreal Convention for air carriage — and in any event to the freight charges we invoiced for that shipment.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost sales, Amazon account consequences, or the cost of replacement stock, and we are not liable for delay. Transit figures are planning estimates, not guarantees.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Claims
Damage or shortage must be notified in writing within seven days of delivery, or fourteen days where the loss could not have been seen at delivery. Send photographs of the carton, the pallet and the damage, together with the POD and the packing list. Where a claim is made against a carrier or insurer, the time limits in the applicable convention apply independently of this page, and they are often shorter.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events outside its reasonable control — including border closures, customs system failure, strikes, natural events, and changes in law that make the agreed routing impossible. Where such an event occurs we will tell you promptly and agree an alternative, which may involve a different route, mode or price.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. The quotation for your shipment states the contracting party; if it names a different governing law or jurisdiction, that one applies to that shipment.
Before legal steps are taken, both sides will attempt to resolve a dispute in writing within 30 days of the claim first being raised.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the date your booking is confirmed. Last updated 21 October 2026.
